NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — An 18-year-old man and a juvenile have been charged after a shooting in Norfolk Tuesday night sent another man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Norfolk Police said the shooting happened in the 300 block of Forth Worth Avenue, off E. Little Creek Road. Officers were called to the scene around 5:30 p.m.
Responding officers found a 48-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene. The man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment and is currently listed in critical but stable condition, police said.
Police said investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Shaun L. McDaniel and a 17-year-old male.
The juvenile, whose name is being withheld, is charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. McDaniel is charged with possession of stolen property, police said.
McDaniel is being held at the Norfolk City Jail, while the 17-year-old is at the Norfolk Juvenile Detention Center.
