SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Officials in Suffolk say enhanced security has been placed at King’s Fork High School as police investigate an unconfirmed threat.
Suffolk Public Schools stated on Facebook Friday morning there is no active shooter at the high school. This comes after numerous social media posts of an active shooter situation.
The school district said administrators and the Suffolk Police Department are working to investigate an alleged threat.
City officials said police put more security in place at the high school as a precaution.
